Marvel Studios has released the very first look at the highly anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder – and it’s an action packed rid. A bevy of familiar faces are present throughout the retro-feeling 90-second preview, set to a soundtrack of Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child O' Mine. The most poignant moment, though, might be MCU fans' first big glimpse of Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, masked up and Mjolnir in hand as Thor looks on in awe. After vacating the MCU in the wake of 2013's widely-disliked Thor: The Dark World, the Black Swan Oscar winner is back for more cosmic shenanigans in Thor: Love and Thunder, Taika Waititi's sequel to 2017's hit Thor: Ragnarok. And the first teaser trailer for the film confirms that Portman's alter ego, Jane Foster, is getting a major equipment upgrade. Jane is now wielding the Mighty Thor's hammer, which has apparently been resurrected from its Hela-induced death. Decked out in the finest Asgardian warrior wear, she looks every inch the superhero that her now-aimless ex (Chris Hemsworth) used to be. She shows up just in time, too, as Thor has to confront Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale), a major league threat he seems very unprepared to fight. While Jane has been mastering Mjølnir, Thor has been goofing off with the Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's clear that the group is ready to offload the boisterous buffoon on some other poor saps. Besides Jane, those saps include Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) - who has become head of the surviving Asgard population since Thor's post-Endgame abdication - and the affable rock monster Korg (voiced by director Waititi). Thor: Love and Thunder comes after three previous Thor films: 2011's Thor, 213's Thor: The Dark World and the most recent, 2017's Thor: Ragnarok. After wrapping production on the fourth Thor film in June 2021, Hemsworth teased the movie on Instagram, where he wrote: “The film is gonna be bats*** crazy off the wall funny and might also pull a heart string or two. Lots of love, lots of thunder!" Thor: Love and Thunder premiere in movie theaters July 8, 2022.

Studiourile Marvel au agenda plină în perioada următoare și au dezvăluit deja filmele care vor fi lansate sub umbrela celei de-a Patra Fază a Universului. Dacă până acum unele titluri erau doar la nivel de zvonuri, celebrele studiouri au anunțat producțiile ce vor apărea treptat în următorii doi ani.
Dacă ți-ai plănuit deja să îl vezi pe Doctor Strange pe 5 mai, ar trebui să planfici și ziua de 8 iulie pentru Thor. Mult așteptata producție va fi prezentă în cinema la începutul lunii iulie, iar teaserul te va face să fii mai curios ca niciodată. Nu dăm spoilere, ci spunem doar atât: nu doar Chris Hemsworth va fi Thor, ci și Natalie Portman.
